Liam Update...

So I thought I should give an update on our little buddy...he seems to be doing well all things considered. Damon seems to think that his hair is thinning in the back but I don't notice...maybe I'm just in denial! He has been complaining about his stomach hurting a lot but it will usually go away within a couple of hours. I honestly think it's his GI Tract. Speaking of which I had the lovely experience of supplying St. Lukes Hospital with a stool specimen from Liam on Friday...SINGLE MOST DISGUSTING THING I'VE EVER DONE!!!! Don't get me wrong I love my son but diggin through his poo is another story. In case you were wondering why I got to do such a lovely thing is because we've been seeing blood in his bowl movements...they have been black and tar like (I know you wanted that visual). According to his Nephrologist this isn't something that should be a side effect of the chemo so they are doing labs and we should find out Monday. For now he is on a stool softener and another medicine for his stomach...which makes four medications daily...poor little guy. He is such a trooper though...as long as he can have a Pokemon card after he takes his medicine (little manipulator...wonder who he got that from?). As far as his labs go his White Blood Cell Count is at 5.8, which is still good...as long as it doesn't drop below 5 we're still considered in the normal range. Well that's all to update for now.
